Passover is a tough time for desserts, especially when you have kids (like mine) who have a massive sweet tooth. That's why this recipe is gold. It's super easy, takes zero effort and makes just about everyone happy!
What you need:
- 2 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (I use light but you can use dark if you have?)
- Matzo
- 1 bag chocolate chips
- sea salt
- nuts (optional)
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a jellyroll pan with aluminum foil and parchment.
- Fill the pan with matzo, breaking up pieces to fill in the entire space.
- Bring the butter and sugar to a boil while whisking until it's thoroughly mixed and thickened.
- Pour the butter mixture on top of the matzo, spreading it out with a spatula.
- Put in the oven for 7-9 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Take out of the oven and pour the chocolate chips on top, letting the chips melt and then spreading over the toffee.
- Sprinkle sea salt or nuts on the top.
- Place in the fridge for about 45 minutes to cool and harden before breaking up into pieces.
